GeoJSON is an open source format for exchange of geographic data, primarily via the Web, based on JavaScript Object Notation (JSON). The GeoJSON format is supported by a growing number of GIS software packages, including the Geospatial Data Abstraction Library (GDAL), which is integrated into QGIS via a plug-in, and the DHIS 2.
