I used the old GHeL site—do I need to create a new account?

Please visit New to Moodle for account and certificate status.

Or, you can fill the form and request assistance to ensure you are not creating a duplicate account, and you do not have a typo in your email.

Will my old course progress be saved?

Your old course progress was not saved. Simply start where you left off in the new LMS or restart the course, your preference. If you were taking the final exam, you will need to restart the exam.

Can I still access certificates I earned on the old platform?

Can I pick up a course where I left off?

In most cases, yes! If you started a course using the new LMS, please log in and find your active courses on My Courses page.

Do I need to re-enroll in my courses?

GHLC courses require you to enroll in the course to access the course content. Each course landing page has an Enroll link. 

What’s new in the updated platform?

The new GHLC platform presents the course session pages as one continuous page, which allows you to conveniently scroll through the content and review quickly. It also continues to offer easy navigation, mobile-friendly design, smooth course access, and improved progress tracking—while staying 100% free.

I can’t log in. What should I do?

If you have confirmed that you have an active account on the new GHLC LMS, please try resetting your password. Go to the Login Page and click “Forgot password” to reset your login. If you’re a returning user, use the same email you registered with on the old platform.

How do I create a free account?

Visit the Start Learning page, complete the form, verify your email, and you’ll be ready to start learning.

Where can I browse available courses?

Click on Courses in the main menu above.

Will I get a certificate when I complete a course?

Yes! Once you complete all course requirements, you’ll receive a free digital certificate you can download or share.

I completed a course but didn’t get my certificate. What now?

Ensure that the final exam is marked as successfully completed. If you still don’t see your certificate, contact us using the form on this page.

Who is the target audience for GHLC courses?

While the courses are designed for USAID staff and partners in global health, they are open to the public. Over 80% of our learners come from NGOs, universities, and international organizations worldwide.
