Disadvantages to conducting an economic evaluation include: (1) Often time-consuming or require data that are difficult to collect; (2) Cannot consider all the possible factors that might inform a particular decision (e.g., patients' rights, equity, etc.); (3) Dangerous when conducted poorly - may produce misleading results.
