The Model for Improvement is a framework that guides improvement work. The Model combines three fundamental questions that focus the improvement work: “What are we trying to accomplish?” “How will we know that a change is an improvement?” and “What change can we make that will result in improvement?” The Model includes a cycle (plan-do-study-act) of testing changes to see if they lead to improvement.
