Insecticide-treated mosquito net (ITN)

A net treated with repellent that deters the mosquito from biting or kills it, thus preventing malaria. In order to be classified as an ITN, the repellent must be effective in repelling mosquitoes for a minimum of one year; also referred to as long-lasting insecticidal nets (LLIN).
