To provide an overview of the U.S. family planning and abortion legislative and policy requirements that govern U.S. foreign assistance.
Objective
After completing this course, participants will be able to:

Describe the U.S. family planning and abortion legislative and policy requirements that govern U.S. foreign assistance;

Describe the application of the law and policies that impact USAID family planning programs and U.S. foreign assistance;

Describe actions for ensuring compliance with the laws and policies; and

Identify whom to contact for further information or assistance, and how to access resource materials.
Credits
The course was first published in October 2011. Significant updates were made to the course, including changing the content of the course, on June 24, 2021. To ensure that certificates of completion remain up-to-date, the course will be taken down at the end of December and republished in early January every year.
